About Us

      The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2005. The Department is well equipped with highly commendable facilities and is effectively guided by a set of devoted and diligent staff members with different field of specialization. The Department of electrical and electronics provides to the students with in-depth knowledge in hardware as well as in software technology, so that the students can pursue for wide range of career opportunities. The Department has organized several workshops and faculty development programs for the benefit of students and faculty members and researchers from various engineering colleges. The Laboratories are well equipped with modern equipment under the supervision of qualified technical support staff. Equipment in the various laboratories trains the students to expose practical knowledge and illustrate the most important concepts in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In order to make the students technically competent, advanced topics like PLC, LabVIEW, Arduino and MATLAB value added courses with hands on training are being conducted. To cater to the needs of the new generation, smart class room with smart learning methodology including video lectures, mini projects and case studies have been introduced. The Department has library facilitating the academic and research work of the staff and students. The Department has good and consistent placement record with students placed in many Core and IT companies. The Department strives to achieve reputation at the regional as well as national level.


Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The Graduates of MZCET - Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program shall

  • PEO1: Graduates will have a strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering, equipping them with the necessary skills to solve complex engineering problems and contribute effectively to technological advancements.
  • PEO2: Graduates will engage in lifelong learning through advanced studies, research, and professional development, enabling them to adapt to emerging technologies and drive innovation in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
  • PEO3: Graduates will demonstrate leadership qualities, effective communication, and ethical responsibility in their professional careers, collaborating with diverse teams to create solutions that address global challenges and benefit society.


Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

The Graduates of MZCET - Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program shall

  • PSO1: Apply fundamental principles of electrical and electronics engineering to design, analyze, and implement electrical circuits, control systems, power systems, and electronic devices to solve real-world engineering problems.
  • PSO2: Demonstrate the ability to use advanced tools, software, and technologies in areas such as power electronics, embedded systems, renewable energy systems, and automation to develop innovative solutions.
  • PSO3: Possess strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, and will demonstrate ethical responsibility in the application of electrical and electronics engineering solutions to meet industry standards and societal needs.


Programme Outcomes (PO)

Programme Outcome (POs) is the outcomes that students are expected to know and be able to perform or attain by time of graduation. Our Programme Outcomes are as follow:

  1. Engineering Knowledge - Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, mechanical engineering fundamentals and specialization to the solutions of complex engineering problems;
  2. Problem Analysis - Ability to identify, formulate, conduct research literature and analyze complex engineering problems using principles of mathematics, natural sciences and mechanical engineering sciences;
  3. Design/Development of Solutions - Ability to design mechanical solutions for complex engineering problems and systems, components or processes that meet specified needs;
  4. Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems - Ability to conduct investigation of complex problems using research based knowledge and research methods to provide valid conclusions;
  5. Modern Tool Usage - Ability to develop and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and innovative engineering tools to complex mechanical engineering activities;
  6. The Engineer and Society - Ability to apply contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues with the awareness of the consequent responsibilities to professional mechanical engineering practice for the betterment of society;
  7. Environment and Sustainability - Ability to understand the impact of professional mechanical engineering solutions in societal, economic and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development;
  8. Ethics - Ability to apply ethical principles and demonstrate commitment to professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of mechanical engineering practice;
  9. Individual and Team Work - Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering and management principles and apply these effectively as an individual, a member or a leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings;
  10. Communication - Ability to communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large;
  11. Project Management and Finance - Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project management, finance principles, business development within the scope of mechanical engineering practices.
